Description.

The invention P61 relates to a method and an apparatus for automatic tuning of an impedance matrix, for instance the impedance matrix seen by the power amplifiers of a radio transmitter using a plurality of antennas simultaneously. This invention uses a multiple-input-port and multiple-output-port tuning unit. The invention P61 also discloses a radio transmitter using this apparatus. In contrast to the invention P57 of the MIMOmatch-B portfolio, this invention implements a signal processing technique such that it can use excitations that are applied simultaneously to the user port.

The invention P62 relates to a method for automatically adjusting a multiple-input-port and multiple-output-port tuning unit, for instance a tuning unit which is a part of a radio transceiver using a plurality of antennas simultaneously. The invention P61 also discloses an automatic tuning system using this method. In contrast to the invention P57 of the MIMOmatch-B portfolio, and to the invention P61, this invention uses an open-loop control scheme. It is compatible with excitations that are applied simultaneously to the user port, like the invention P61.
